Debbie Tyson Rosen is a travel, food, wine and music enthusiast who embraces life at every turn with unfettered ambition and a love for all things, Italy. Whether it’s her heart-warming stories and captivating pictures from the road, a glowing vocal performance with her jazz quintet, or a transparently honest review, she conveys the essence of simple truths, sharing passion with enthusiasm.

She currently resides in Milton, Georgia with her husband and their two canines, Bennett an American Eskimo Spitz and Luna a Samoyed. She also has two daughters who reside in Tennessee. The family still enjoys traveling together and often with other families in the U.S. and abroad, particularly to Italy. From 2011 to 2017, Debbie was the president and founder of Donne e Vino®, Distributors, bringing fine Italian wines to Georgia. Before launching Donne e Vino, Debbie formerly worked as a freelance corporate meeting planner and trip director. She also spent a number of years as an independent consultant in the health and wellness industry among other things. This led her to become an active advocate for supporting sustainable family farming in the U.S., and to this day she remains passionate about educating others on the benefits of choosing organic ingredients for food preparations, as well as being mindful about the importance of safe, pure, and organic ingredients.

Currently Debbie contributes articles, stories and photographs as a writer for several blogs. She is also developing multiple virtual communities and online platforms to share her stories, pictures, experiences and a wealth of travel knowledge with others. Her desire is to allow others to experience and connect with the places, sights, sounds, aromas and flavors she’s experienced on her travels, while attesting to the grandeur of simplicity.

Why Italy....
"With its enchanting towns and captivating scenery it’s all you can imagine…and more. From the open-air markets and cobblestone streets, to the fields of sunflowers and miles of vineyards, it picks you up and sweeps you off your feet from the moment you arrive. Combine that with the culture, the people, the places, the cuisine and (especially) the wine and it’s dynamically the perfect place. Every time we visit it transforms me, changing my mindset and moving me from “life as we know it” to a more natural and comfortable state of mind. It’s an easier pace in Italy, and I always come back refreshed, missing it before we leave, and with less of an interest on “things” and “material belongings” and more of an interest in the memories that were created with that journey. Italy brings back fond memories of the way I grew up. Perhaps it’s because of the simplistic lifestyle and definitely the attention given to one another and family. I can’t really say it’s one thing over another, but more Italy as a whole, and I often smile and agree when I reflect on what Ferenc Máté so eloquently shared in his book The Wisdom of Tuscany, “I simply try to understand the startling differences between the two worlds. And while each has much to learn from the other, it appears more and more that the balance is swinging back toward old Europe, to Italy..”.

So “Why Italy”, you ask? It just feels like “home,” and hopefully through my words, pictures and experiences I can take you there and share the depths of what I love and have come to treasure."
